Protect-A-Bed

I've changed my fair share of crib and toddler sheets, and I'm not even close to nearing the end. Sometimes I get a wake up call around 5 am. It goes a little something like this. I awake to the sounds of screaming, AKA, angry protesting. I stumble through the darkness, stub a few toes and trip over my husband's shoes or a toy truck belonging to my oldest, and make my way to the crib only to find a naked baby standing on wet (if I'm lucky, yucky if I'm not) sheets. It isn't always the case. Sometimes I get lucky. But lately, my baby is proud of his new accomplishment. He can take his pants and diaper off and he will do so whenever he has the chance. Later, I will move him to a toddler bed and while he may not take his clothes off, I know there will be potty training accidents. Isn't life grand? I don't mind. I take the good with the not so good. I am protected. I learned early on that fitted sheets and mattress protectors were my best friend. Every time I change crib sheets or in my near future, a toddler bed, I layer on three of each. When I get a flood, I remove the first fitted sheet and the mattress protector. They go into the wash. As soon as I have used them all, back on the bed they go. It saves a lot of time and I can get back to sleep more quickly, which at 5 am, it's a priority. Out of all the mattress protectors I've tried, I have been most pleased with the one I found at Protect-A-Bed! The protectors fit snug. We tried a 100% cotton terry waterproof protector. Tassi! Keep Your Hair Outta There!

I reviewed the Tassi several months ago and I can honestly say, it's one of my favorite products. I keep it in the bathroom and I use it daily. I use it every morning when I wash my face and I use it if I'm applying makeup. I use it when I bake. I have used it when I clean. I use it every evening to wash my face. I have used it to hold back my hair while I read a book. I use it when I treat myself to wonderful facial masque. I've used it in the bath. I have even used it in the shower. What is a Tassi? Well, it's one of those products that you use once and decide you can't live without it. I wonder how I ever made it through the day without it. I have never been a fan of headbands. You know, the Velcro type that holds back your hair so you can get through your morning routine. My experience with them has not been great. They slip and after a few months, they no longer hold. My longer hair would fall forward when I washed my face and I would end up with soap or a facial masque all over the ends of my hair. I don't like shower caps because most of them make me feel like my head is in an oven. I like my showers hot, and caps make me sweat. The Tassi is not waterproof, but when I use it in the shower it keeps my hair out of the way. It's easy to use and even easier to love! I've Gone Woolcrazy!

You heard right! I fell for these adorable wool creations right before Easter! I will be featuring Woolcrazy's Etsy Shop throughout the year. I have a new favorite cookie and it is an unlikely choice for me. I hate peanut butter cookies. I don't know why, I just always have. But after biting into one of these Peanut Butter Surprises, I was surprised to say the least. My long standing disdain for peanut butter cookies has given way to love and endless cravings. I love books. I really love books that teach values and help children cope with life changes. My little boy turns six tomorrow, and our baby recently turned one. If there were only a few of these left in the world, you would not be hearing about it from me. I would keep this all to myself, and consider my weight gain well worth it. That's right. A dessert that is so good, it doesn't matter if you gain a pound or two. There are very few desserts that fall into this category. Usually I will eat something and complain a day or two later if I am having to suck in to button my pants. Not with David's Deep Dish Cookie Cake.
