Well! My rug arrived and I have put it to the ultimate test. Kids! I placed it in a high traffic area where my oldest and youngest would use it the most. The rug I chose was the beautiful Safavieh CL324A - Classic Kerman Light Green-Gold Rug.

The wool is soft and thick. It sheds a little, but that is to be expected. After vacuuming and even a few minor spills, this rug was easy to clean. The colors are rich, and even though this rug is moderately priced, it rivals the more expensive rugs! The description was 100% accurate. Hats Off To Woobie Wear!

I don't have a little girl, but when I receive products like this, I wish I did. I received the most adorable little crocheted hat from Woobie Wear. It is incredibly soft, light pink, and graced with little sequins that catch the light perfectly! The beautiful flower is actually a hair clip that can be clipped on the hat (or clothes) without damaging it. Your little girl can wear the hat and flower together or alone, or pair the flower with a headband! Our headband is a brighter pink and it is super stretchy and fun. I think I like the hat more, but I am more into classic design. The headband is definitely more modern!

Hair Loss Is A Great Thing!

I am a little behind after the holiday, camp, and well-just life lately. I have kept up with TRIA at home, but not here. So those of you that have been following along, thanks for your patience! Here are the details of my second and third home laser hair removal treatment!I finally talked my husband into coming clean. With a razor! It was a tedious task and it took longer than the laser treatment. I know you are wondering, was the pain less? Yes! But it was still not a comfortable process. I treated him using the second level of intensity. Every now and then, I would zap my husband and make him squirm. Call me sick, but it made me feel better after cleaning the kitchen after he cooked. He makes the biggest mess! TRIA is a subtle way of getting even. The burning sensation was slight, and certain areas seem to be much more sensitive than others. I treated his back and abdomen. Both areas took a bit longer than before (maybe I'm being more meticulous) and I had to recharge before I finished.
I completed my second treatment and I bumped up the intensity. I lasered my legs on three. I couldn't tell much difference, but every now and then I would yelp like a wounded animal.Must be my punishment for finding humor in watching my husband suffer. But seriously, most of the time it was painless. When it did hurt, it was either a warm or hot sensation or it felt like I was being snapped with a rubber band. My bikini area and under my arms were lasered using the second level of intensity. I guess I'm not yet brave enough to go all the way!

About two weeks later, my husband told me that he shed about 50 or 60 hairs after his shower. Gross, but certainly good news. Under normal conditions, pre-laser, he would shed less than 5. Looks like we are getting somewhere. Hair loss is a great thing-if you have too much of it! As far as my results are concerned, I can't tell a difference. But it is still early!

Treatment three!!! Repeat of everything above! So far, there has been no further loss of visible hair on my husband. But it's still early in the hair removal treatment. I think I can tell a difference under my arms. Maybe my legs. I'll be posting again in 2-3 weeks and I will keep you up to date. They'll Never Make It To Your Child's Lunchbox!

My oldest plays all day, often stopping to refuel. While sometimes he goes for the fruit, I'm not always so lucky. Finger Painting Isn't Always Cute!

I have tried many different cloth diapers. One of my favorites are FuzziBunz One Size Diapers. I am not a big fan of Velcro tabs. It seems that at one point or another, your diaper clad baby is going to pull on those tabs and spill unmentionable contents all over the place. If you are not lucky enough to realize this right away, you may find a little finger painting Picasso somewhere (hopefully in your house and not someone elses). I'm not saying that your brilliant young Einstein will not figure out how to unsnap a diaper, but at least these snaps will take a little more effort! So far, my little guy hasn't figured them out. But he did figure the Velcro out and now I have a stack of them banished to the bottom drawer for emergencies. That was a sight I'll never forget. My little guy has learned to remove his clothes. I guess it makes him feel independent, accomplished. Pants-no problem! Velcro-mastered with ease. FuzziBunz? Stays put! I love FuzziBunz! They are stain free and dependable, meaning no leaks! Adorable Kidorable!

Have you heard of Kidorable? I hadn't. Not until recently. Boy, have I been missing out! Kidorable is every child's dream! Rain Gear, backpacks, tees and towels. Dinosaurs, Pirates, Frogs, and more! And that's only the beginning!

Logan has the coolest towel around. We received a medium Kidorable Fireman Towel and it fits Logan's 6 year old frame! The colorful towel is really plush and dries my little guy's skin after a shower or a quick dip in the pool! It's colorful and it has a neat "hood" which is shaped like a fire helmet! Perfect since his daddy is also a firefighter! The towel is generous in size and when Logan slips the hood/hat on his head, he spreads his wings and flies around the house. It is really a lot of fun. I was a little worried about washing it. There are so many details, I thought something was bound to come unraveled or unstitched. It came out perfectly. This towel was put together well. And that brilliant red didn't fade a bit. It's still Fire Engine Red! This towel also comes in a smaller size for babies and toddlers! Now, only if it came with lights and sirens!

My oldest guy loves his backpacks, and he has several. He started his collection just after he turned one and within a few months he was taking his "pap pap" everywhere! I saw this cute Dinosuar Backback and was able to take a closer look! Sam loves it. The dinosaurs are soft and padded. The bag is roomy and the straps are adjustable for a perfect fit. I was able to pack a change of clothes and diaper, wipes, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a few extras. There was even room for Sam's stainless steel water bottle! The backpack is waterproof, made with PVC, making it is easy to clean. Sam has worn it a few times, packed with everything he needed for an afternoon with his grandparents!

While Sam usually hates hats, he tolerated this one for a few hours. We received lots of compliments! After a rough day spent playing in the yard, I noticed a few streaks of dirt. Tiny Signs!

My oldest began verbally communicating with me before he was a year old. While he couldn't ask for everything, we did develop a language of our own. Somehow, I could understand his babbling. It was even cute. However, my youngest will use a word proudly once or twice, and then it is long forgotten. I wondered if we would benefit from learning sign language. My little one was becoming more and more frustrated, so I sat down and watched the DVDs, copying each sign. After many evenings spent watching the series My Baby Can Talk, and reading the colorful board books, I must admit that I am no longer skeptical. My Baby Can Talk! Well, a couple of words at least! The first time he signed for milk, I thought it was coincidence. Then it happened again. I was happy and Sam was proud too! Sam still has quite a few temper tantrums, but I am optimistic that they will happen less often as he learns to communicate. We have picked up a couple of words and we are not giving up. These DVDs are also helping him to verbally communicate. By hearing the same words repeated, he has made attempts to copy more than the signs! Sleek And Polished

A flat iron is not really something I would have bought before I tried it. My hair is pretty straight, just a few stubborn waves here and there, especially when the air is humid. Using this product was as easy as using a curling iron. I was able to straighten my hair completely. I could also give my hair a flip on the ends with little practice. A Drinking Problem

My youngest would rather hang on to a sippy cup than play or eat, casually sipping on a tall cold one. Milk, that is. And he drinks it by the gallon. I finally found a tee to describe his addiction.
